Publications

NAYD produces a number of publications to further support and develop youth drama theatre.

Step By Step Together: Drama and Development Education in the Primary Classroom

Step By Step Together is the second book in the the Step By Step Educational Drama Series. It is written by two of Ireland's most experienced educational drama practitioners, Joanna Parkes and Sarah FitzGibbon, and contains a new collection of educational drama schemes that have been tried and tested in the classroom.

For this book, the particular focus is using drama to explore development education in the primary classroom. Schemes explore topics such as fair trade, workers' rights, the environment, sustainable development and emigration.

As with the first publication in the series, Step By Step Educational Drama, the handbook format ensures that the schemes are easy to use and clearly divided according to specific classes and age groups.
