New Stage 2012 Launch

New Stage is an NAYD programme developed to provide youth theatres with suitable scripts for performance. The next round of the programme will be launched on November 19th at The Lir Academy, Dublin.

 Three plays were chosen that reflect the diverse needs of youth theatres. We have also expanded our PlayShare scheme. Details of the new additions will be available on the day of the launch.

Introduction  to Drama Facilitation Training

NAYD is travelling to Galway this December to deliver two days of workshops to youth theatre leaders who are just beginning to facilitate drama. Non-affiliated youth theatre leaders can also participate.

Community Drama Training

NAYD is currently developing a training programme for community organisations and groups who wish to  work with young people from disadvantaged backgrounds through drama. We are seeking to consult with relevant individuals and groups.

Garda Vetting Closing Date

The next closing date for submission of garda vetting application forms by members of NAYD's Garda Vetting Consortium is 30th November. Contact Katie for more information

Shakespeare's tale of star-crossed lovers. The venue is the Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge.

 LYTC Carrigallen- Two New Plays

24-25 Nov

The Never Ending Battle and Liberation by a Rose, written and directed by Barry Taylor and Jack Williamson.  Venue is the Corn Mill Theatre, Carrigallen.

 Co. LYT - Teechers/X-Factory

13 Dec/16-18 Dec

Co. Limerick Youth Theatre have two branches on stage in December. The Mulcair branch are presenting X-Factory by Tom Swift while the Lough Gur branch are presenting Teechers by John Godber.

Dublin City Arts Office has developed a Festival Training  Programme for Youth and Community Festivals examining areas such as Managing Volunteers and  Fundraising in addition to creative courses such as Puppet Building and Props for Parades.
