NYT 2008: A Midsummer Night's Dream

It's Shakespeare for the National Youth Theatre'08! Gyorgy Vidovszky will direct and the production will run from 25 - 30 Aug at the Peacock Theatre. Youth Theatre members can attend auditions on the following dates:
28 March (Dublin), 29 March (Galway), 05 April (Cork), 06 April (Longford). Audition forms and information to be sent out soon.

Fishamble Writing Scholarship

NAYD is offering a full scholarship to a youth theatre leader to participate in a weekend playwrighting course with Fishamble Theatre Company.
Over 50 of the plays written through previous courses have gone to full production!

A reminder that March 6th is the closing date for Arts Council Project funding. Two awards that support the development of new work and one-off projects with an emphasises on innovation. Also welcome projects that create new contexts for engaging with an artform. E-mail Arts Council for more info.

AGM/Jonothan Neelands Workshop

A packed programme of events will accompany this year's AGM which takes place on 10 May. The highlight will be a key note address by renowed drama practitioner and author Jonothan Neelands who will also facilitate a day long-workshop on 11 May.

There are still a couple of places on the Leading On...session for youth theatre leaders on March 8th and 9th.

Youth Theatre members can now book their places on the expanded Young Critics Programme. Participants will come together three times a year and see six theatre productions in total. They will also participate in workshops with International Theatre Critic Karen Fricker. The first event will take place in April. Booking forms will be sent out to youth theatres with this month's Intermission. Closing date is 24th March. Find Out More
