ArtsTrain Recruiting
Its that time again already! NAYD's drama facilitation training course is now recruiting participants for the course beginning in September '08. Past participants are now employed in a range of Arts related areas

NYT Tickets on sale!

You can now book tickets for the National Youth Theatre production of A Midsummer Night's Dream. It is on stage in the Peacock Theatre, Dublin from Monday 25th - Saturday 30th August. All performances at 8.15pm. There will be matinee performance at 2.45pm on the Saturday.

Theatre Forum Conference

Theatre Forum are holding their annual conference in Cork from 12th - 13th June.The theme this year will be Is It Worth It? and will explore the current state of performing Arts in Ireland from a number of angles. You can view the full programme on the Theatre Forum Website.

NAYD will support the cost of travel for youth theatres to see each others work. We now also have a fund to support the costs of youth theatres travelling to see professional theatre productions.

Applications are now open for the Arts Council's Artist In The Community Scheme to promote intense collaboration between artists and communities across all artforms.The scheme is managed by Create. To find out more contact 01-4736600 or by email. Closing date is Friday 27th June.

Consultation

The National Youth Council of Ireland is holding regional consultation meetings on the effective implementation of their strategic plan 2008-2012. A number of sessions focusing on youth arts will take place around the country.

Scholarship: GET IN! Forum

NAYD is offering a scholarship to one youth theatre leader to take part in the GET IN! International Forum in Liverpool from 25th - 27th July. It features workshops, speakers and showcases by groups from around the world

Garda Vetting: Next Closing Date

The Skills Support Programme gives youth theatres the opportunity to bring in an external facilitator with specific expertise.

A record number of applications were received for the '08 round and we are pleased to announce the recipients.

A reminder that we are still accepting applications from youth theatres who wish to take part in Scotlands' National Festival of Youth Theatres taking place in October.

Closing date is 6th June.Find Out More

The closing date for the next round of Garda Vetting is Friday 26th September. Any adults involved in your group with substantial unsupervised access to members should be vetted. Contact Katie to request Vetting Forms
