Cast Meeting
The cast of NYT 2008 came together for the first time last week
for a cast development meeting. 20 youth theatre members from all
around the country spent their Midsummer getting to know each other

already selling fast for the NYT 2008 production of
A Midsummer Night's Dream which takes place in The
Peacock in August. Last year's run was sold out before opening night

Youth Theatre (Cork) and Cabinteely Youth Theatre (Dublin) will
travel to Scotland with the support of NAYD to participate in the
Promote YT Festival of Youth Theatres.
Sandra Buckley of Kildare Youth Theatre is the
recipient of the scholarship to take part in the GET IN! international
forum in Liverpool.

Skill Sharing Network's next meeting will take place in Stradbally,
Co. Laois on Sunday 13th July.
This
is a collective of drama facilitators and youth theatre leaders
created to pool resources, share ideas and material.

Applications are now
being accepted for ArtsTrain, our youth drama facilitation training
course. The course will begin in September and run for a full year.
It is FETAC accredited and participants receive a FAS training allowance.The
closing date for applications is 11th July. For

The next closing date for submitting
Garda Vetting forms is Friday 26th September. Youth
theatres should submit forms for any adults involved in the group
with substantial unsupervised access to members who have not been
vetted in previous rounds.
