GO SEE THEATRE
NAYD is extending its GO SEE YT scheme to support youth theatres travelling to see professional theatre. NAYD will contribute up to 100 Euro

NYT: In The Circle

The big NYT news is that there will be another production in '08. Youth theatre members will have an amazing opportunity to be part of a high profile production and work with a professional artistic and production team. Auditions will take place in March and April.

There will be a special screening of In The Circle, the documentary made about the NYT 2007 production The Caucasian Chalk Circle. It follows the 20 young cast members from their first meeting right through to the final performance in the Peacock. The screening will take place in the IFI, Temple Bar, Dublin 2 on 23rd February at 11.30am. All welcome! Read More...

Leading On......Voice Workshops

NAYD's training programme for Youth Theatre leaders kicks off this year with a weekend event entitled; Open Voice Workshops: Creative Techniques for Using the Voice. Facilitated by Max Hafler, it takes place in Dublin on 8/9 March and is for the leader who wants to learn techniques and exercises they can pass on to their youth theatre members

Young Critics '08: Bigger and Better!

NAYD announces a major new writing initiative with three new plays commissioned. Youth Theatres will be supported in bringing these plays to the stage.Participants will come together to perform at Regional Festivals

How to get involved

The Young Critics Programme is expanding. We are now looking for a panel of young people to come together 3 times during the year to see professional theatre productions, participate in workshops and have their say on the shows they have seen and theatre in general. The first event takes place in April.....
