New Resources For Youth Theatres

Charities Act

New Stage '09

Anna Galligan, NAYD's Youth Theatre Officer, is currently developing a series of new resources for youth theatres.

They will provide guidance and advice on all aspects of running your youth theatre including recruitment of members, staffing and welfare. Sample forms and templates will be downloadable from the Advice Centre section of our website in the near future.

The Charities Act was signed into law in February. The Act will be commenced in stages.
There will be implications for existing charities. We are happy to offer advice to any of our member youth theatres who are registered charities. Contact Us

New Stage is back in 2009. Playwrights Veronica Coburn, Ciaran Gray and Tom Swift have been commissioned to produce new work for youth theatres. There will be a particular emphasis on writing for the 12-14 age group

Rehearsed readings of the three plays will take place on 3rd October as part of the second Young Critics weekend.
