Skills Sharing Network
A group of youth drama practitioners have formed a collective to pool resources, share skills and network. The idea grew out of a discussion at the last Leading On...training session

AGM Weekend 08

Dates: 10-11th May
Venue: The Ark, Temple Bar, Dublin 2.

This year's NAYD AGM is an event not to be missed. The highlight promises to be a keynote address and one day workshop with author and renowned drama practitioner Professor Jonothan Neelands. There will also be opportunities to discuss some hot topics in youth theatre, share expertise and meet other youth theatre practitioners.

Award for Young Playwrights

Wexford Arts Centre in association with Wexford County Council have announced the details of their Young Playwrights 4:2:1 Award
It is open to young writers aged 13-23 years who live in the Sountheast region. Closing date: Monday 21st April

We are now accepting applications for the 2008 Skills Support Programme. Five youth theatres can avail of training in Voice and Contact Improvisation. Closing date is Friday 2nd May.

NEW STAGE Begins!

NYT 08 Up-date

The first date on the New Stage calendar is fast approaching! New Stage is NAYD's new writing project for youth theatres. On 17th May there will be rehearsed readings of all three plays in Dublin.

There has been alot of interest in the project already and we will be sending out a call for Youth Theatres interested in participating very soon.Find Out More

Don't forget: Friday 18th April is the closing date for applications for the Eilis Mullan Bursaries.

The bursaries were created to support the profesional development of Youth Theatre directors.Find Out More

A Big Thank You to everyone who auditioned so far for the NYT 2008 production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". There are two more auditions taking place in Cork (5th April) and Longford (6th April). Call back auditions take place on 19th/20th April in Dublin.
